Clinical Data
Lumpectomy specimen image interpretation with volumetric specimen imaging (VSI) was compared to two-dimensional specimen radiography and tomosynthesis in two hundred cases. With a sensitivity up to 94% and specificity up to 85%, full-3D specimen imaging with VSI significantly improved the correlation between interpretation of the main lumpectomy specimen margin status and surgical pathology.
